I can’t even describe how great the Aurora Chase tour was. The guide and his assistant made it feel like a proper hunt, got us into the vibe and transmitted genuine excitement and commitment to get us to see the lights. The tiny details in their typical clothes, the lamp inside the van, the snacks were delicious.
It was a particularly cloudy night and we drove all the way from Rovaniemi to Sweden (+100km) to catch an exquisite show of the auroras. The guide took infinite pictures of us, and even after a full hour in the way back, all of us exhausted and in the way back, another show of lights started in the skies and the guides made sure to stop for us to have the experience. Added to this, their charisma and the stories about Finland and Rovaniemi. Couldn’t recommend the tour more ?

They are really good tour company. I stayed in Rovaniemi for 3 nights and had 3 different tours with different operators. These guys were definitely the best. They don’t have a fixed spot and decide on the basis of weather conditions where they would take the group. They have a limitation of maximum 150Kms in single direction and within that radius they try their best. For our sightings they take us towards north west to Sweden as the weather was clear only in that direction. Very helpful operators as well. Only thing is they travel in a large group (32 people)

I joined on March 25th an “ Aurora Hunting Tour” that started 9pm. It was the best decision I made when I arrived in Rovaniemi. The guide was very professional, gentle and took us to the right place to see the Northern Lights and finally we were successful seeing a beautiful Aurora Borealis. The price was very fair. Highly recommended!

Tomé el northern lights hunting tour y tuve una excelente experiencia. Hice este tour con 3 agenciaa distintas y esta por lejos fue la mejor. Primero, fueron más allá de lo normal, llegamos a Suecia. Se preocupan realmente de que logres ver las auroras, lo que no me pasó en otras agencias que tenian una ruta mas estipulada. Otra cosa muy buena, es que si no ven que estan las condiciones para verlas, cancelan el tour, cosa que tampoco me pasó en las otras 2 agencias. Y adicional los guias muy preocupados de que recibieras bebidas calientes y comida. Se las recomiendo totalmente. Muchas gracias por la experiencia

We went to Rovaniemi, hoping to see the Northern Lights. We asked around different agencies. In the end, we like the suggestions from Visit Lapland Tours the most. They flat out cancel the night’s hunting when the sky would be cloudy for terrible viewing conditions. When we asked how can we see the Northern Lights, they answered with real time satellite images and came up with a plan. Their decisions are dependable, with common sense.

Recomendado 100%, el tour de caza de auroras es muy bueno. Los guías y servicios fueron excelentes en todo momento. Aunque las auroras no están aseguradas hacen lo posible para que tengas oportunidad de verlas.

I can‘t recommend to book with „Visit Lapland Tours“!
In our point of view they didn’t create a good experience at all. They didn’t properly communicate the plans of the night and also didn’t give us interesting information or similar.

Already from the beginning of the tour they didn’t communicate properly. Whilst driving the guide was trying to give us some information about Rovaniemi and surroundings but because of his poor englisch we couldn’t understand much. For the first stop (just on the side of the street) they told us that we might see something but then it turned out just to be the food stop (again: poor communication skills - we felt confused about what is happening most of the time, if we should leave the car or wait inside etc.).
The second time we also stopped literally next to the road. No lights of the cars were switched off, torches everywhere so the eyes couldn’t even get used to the dark. We didn’t see any Northern light which is totally fair and of course it’s not their fault. But they didn’t give us any interesting information about anything (northern lights, Star signs or whatever).

To summarise it was a bad experience and we would not book with them again.
