This hotel is very lovely, we stayed at the main hullo poro hotel and had one night here.|The room:|The room was cosy and comfortable. As there was four of us, the two sofas were converted into sofa beds, which made the room feel slightly more cramped, but not any less enjoyable. If you are planning on staying here with more than two people, i do not recommend more than one night because the room was quite small and isn’t ideal for a whole week away if you enjoy your privacy. As you enter the room you are greeted with an entrance hallway, which was perfect for all of our big coats, hats, scarves and snow boots. The bathroom was also lovely, clean and quite spacious.|Location and aurora:|The hotel is very far away from the town, while this is good as it gives you a better chance of seeing the aurora, if you are looking to be there multiple nights, it is a hassle to get the bus to and from the town and it feels quite isolated. Make sure to check that there is a high chance of an aurora before arriving otherwise the experience can be quite disappointing. The ceiling was fairly clear, the heaters prevented snow from settling on the top, unfortunately the aurora didn’t appear during my visit, however it was still lovely to sleep under the stars. |Elves village:|The pyramids are about a 5 minute walk from ‘The elves village’ , the breakfast we had there was very pleasant, the food was nice and the atmosphere was lovely and festive. The night before we went to look around the village and it was surprisingly empty, there wasn’t much open after it got dark at about 3 or 4 o clock but we were offered a free reindeer ride around the village. The next morning we went back to explore and here is what we found: Santas grotto to meet santa, christmas baking sessions, a kids playhouse, a snowy trail through the woods, and a slope to sledge down.|Overall this hotel was a great experience for the one night. I strongly recommend.

Based on my experience with the Aurora Pyramid Glass Igloos, I would caution any guest considering this hotel to AVOID AT ALL COSTS.||Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn that the Aurora alert system was not functioning, as viewing the Northern Lights was the main reason for my stay. However, the bigger concern arose with the condition of the rooms themselves. In Igloo #10, we encountered a plumbing issue where water from the bathroom sink flooded the floor, making the sink unusable and the entire bathroom floor wet after just washing my hands.||While I was grateful that the staff quickly offered to move us to Igloo #11, the prospect of moving all of our luggage on our own, in the dark and over icy ground, was both dangerous and uncomfortable, especially with no assistance available. When we arrived at Igloo #11, we then found that the water wasn’t running at all. Meaning, Igloo #11 had no available water and your staff informed us that there was no one available to fix it. This left us with the difficult decision of choosing between a room with no water or a room where the bathroom sink couldn’t be used due to flooding and a wet floor. We reluctantly decided to stay in Igloo #10.||I fully understand that unforeseen issues can happen, but the lack of a basic amenity like running water was particularly disappointing. This impacted our overall experience, as we expected a much higher standard given the reputation and cost of your property.||
What’s more disappointing is how management handled the situation after the fact. When I reached out to provide feedback and request a partial refund, I was informed that they could not refund the money, claiming that the water delay was due to a sustainable technology that requires 20 minutes to activate. At no point during my stay did anyone from the staff seem to be aware this system or make any mention of it, and in fact, they told me there was an issue with the water and a plumber had been called. Even if this feature had been the case, no effort was made to contact us during our stay to clarify the situation of this temporary delay in running water. Instead of taking responsibility for the lack of communication and the impact this had on our stay, management shifted the blame onto me for not being aware of this supposedly necessary delay. The way my concerns were dismissed shows a lack of accountability and consideration for guests’ experiences.||Overall, this stay was incredibly disappointing, and the management’s handling of my feedback only made the situation worse. I would not recommend staying at the Aurora Pyramid Glass Igloos, especially given the premium pricing and poor customer service.

||TL;DR: My stay at the Aurora Pyramid Glass Igloos was extremely disappointing. We faced issues with a flooded bathroom, no running water in the replacement igloo, and had to move our luggage in unsafe conditions. Management refused a partial refund and dismissed my concerns, blaming the water issue on a delayed system without informing us during the stay. Poor service and high prices make this hotel a place to avoid.

Had a brilliant stay here. A magical holiday with snow, elves, gingerbread reindeer and lots and lots of sledging! A short drive out of town, but with it as it's darker so better for looking at the sky. Excellent facilities and great fun for families. Didn't try the sauna sadly as we had no time, but definitely will next time!

We have just returned from staying three nights in the pyramids. Hope this review helps you. ||Pros - absolutely beautiful setting. A lot of pretty touches with little houses with lights to lead the way to the restaurant. Good to be onsite to visit Santa and the elves village. No crowds. Quiet setting. My children loved sleeping under the stars somewhere different to a normal hotel. Very comfy beds. Cosy and warm in the pyramids. ||Cons - having no onsite rep and being away from everything we felt a bit isolated. Taxi cost €25-35 each way into main town, there no way you could walk it. Food was very basic and traditional for breakfast which didn’t go down well with my husband and son who ended up buying a donut from the bar area. The heater in the room is noisy but we did get used to this and didn’t hear it by the second night. It took till the third night for the three glass panes to clear of snow and ice which was disappointing. I thought there was a separate room for the children’s bed but the double and two children’s beds which are actually pull out chairs are in the main room which makes it very snug. The lighting is poor in the main area and because it’s dark for majority of the day we had to use torches on phones to find clothes from our case. There’s a chest of draws but no wardrobe to hang clothes. ||Over all it’s a really beautiful place to make some special memories away from hustle and bustle but may be only for a night not for the whole trip.

As already stated in a previous review, the pyramids are isolated and I would not like to rely on a taxi for travel.|We flew into Rovaniemi airport and it took two and a half hours to drive here. We arrived late in January and the roads were interesting. I was so grateful that I hired a car.|I found out the day before that we had to pick up the keys to the pyramid from the Crazy Reindeer Hotel in Levi and that was only because my wife telephoned to let them know that we would be arriving late.|The pyramid was so cosy. Heating was great when it was -16°C outside and the ice on the exterior started to melt.|The shower and toilet were good and toiletries were provided.|The bed was very comfortable.|There is a car park close by and it is not possible to park outside your pyramid which is a pain when there is deep snow.|Food is located in a large building and it was great. The staff were super friendly and they wear elf outfits . There are also souvenirs for sale.

The stay was incredible and a cool concept of being able to see through the glass pyramids at night. However it was confusing to drive to our pyramid as they are pretty far out from the hotel. At night we did not see the paper sign for a snow ski lane and drove and got stuck there. The hotel maintenance staff were about to help us but then told us they couldn’t and to call tow truck. Another person came in the same tracker from the hotel and pulled us out in 2 minutes and at first said $200 eu but then changed his mind to $600eu. We paid it as there were no other tows available. Beware of getting scammed by hotel maintenance staff and Mikka.
